Async AI Programming from Telegram with Clawdbot

I've been trying Clawdbot, a newer open-source project that's been gaining a lot of attention over the last 1-2 days. So far, I've liked it. I've found it gives me real leverage, especially for personal projects, because it makes me less tied to my computer.

Even before Clawdbot, I was already deep into AI-assisted coding (using tools like Cursor). But I still had to be at my laptop actively driving the session.

With Clawdbot, it's more asynchronous. I'm still involved by giving feedback and reviewing PRs, but I don't need to sit at my computer while the work happens.

The loop is simple:

  • message in Telegram (often via voice)
  • Clawdbot opens a small PR
  • I review and merge from my phone
  • repeat in small slices

As a dad with two young kids, I do not have a lot of uninterrupted time. Being able to make real progress in small pockets of time without sitting at my laptop has been the best part.

So far this feels like a promising workflow, and I'm planning to keep using it.
